@makingfrugalfun: SAVE this for your Halloween party or as a fun way to WOW trick or treaters when you open the door to your entryway. I started with two strands of 32-foot Govee LED strip lights, and instead of using the sticky backing, I hung them with masking tape so I can reuse them later. Next, I laid out a king-size sheet on the floor and used Scotch 77 spray adhesive to attach about one and a half large bags of polyfill. To avoid the polyfill falling off once you put it on the ceiling (ask me how I know 😅), make sure to work in small sections. If I did this again, I’d definitely cut the sheet into smaller squares first so it would’ve been much easier to work with! After that, I used thumb tacks to hang the sheet panels up on the ceiling, and I did have to reglue some of the clouds once everything was in place. The kids were big helpers with that part! 😜 For the finishing touch, I added my favorite floating candles and used my hot knife to cut out the faces of pumpkin buckets, then hung those up with fishing line. I used tea lights inside, but I think I’ll swap them for larger LEDs for a brighter glow. The Govee lights have different settings, so just pick the one that looks the most like lightning! ⚡ Follow for DIY holiday decorating ideas all season long!
