"it's just a language" no it's not. langauges are never just languages. languages reflect our worldview and also shape how we think. they're not some divine gifts that we got from the gods so it's forever and unchanging and you can't question or criticize it

there are some ppl who are actively trying to change it 🥹 i had a professor in uni that would use "vosotras" or "nosotras" (yes im spanish) every single time, bcs our class had like 2 men and 11 women
