The painful truth is that many of our deepest regrets started the moment we convinced ourselves that God’s wisdom and godly counsel no longer applied to us. The people who stay on the right path aren’t always the smartest. They’re often the ones humble enough to keep God’s truth in front of them, even when their feelings tell them to do something else.
