Yeah 2 weeks ago I was on vacation and me and my family as well as another family (also Indian) that we didn’t know were all getting on the same transfer bus to get to the airport and the other family was running late and yelling at their kids to hurry up and I guess we got caught up in the mix and this one person yelled “it’s always them” and her friends started giggling while staring at us. The anger I felt.

There was a point of my life where I hated going outside with my family/family friends bc I was so self conscious about what people would think of us, at the time indian racism was peak in Canada and especially bc this was the majority white town I grew up in. and I genuinely felt so embarrassed for looking Indian and I have to admit I also have these moments too even nowadays… my family is the most basic family ever too💔
