@adriana_culling: I’ve trained 2, about to be 3 insanely good injectors (4 including myself) from the ground up. So you know what I’ll say it with my chest 😅💞
The “decades of experience” often includes poor technique and refusing to change their ways, despite having so much progression in the field!! It’s also believing newer injectors (I’m “newer” with over 5 years experience) don’t know what we’re talking about. We’re the ones constantly watching webinars and doing trainings on the latest techniques and anatomy findings. Helloooooo it’s medicine. It’s always evolving! Thanks for posting!

Yep. And to add, some people just got it. Good eye, good hands, good overall understanding of what they’re doing + anatomy. Some people come into this with things you can’t teach, or things that are hard to teach, and it puts them light years ahead of where most people start.

I got injected twice by two different master injectors and ended up with BAD Botox for at least two years.

ok but dealing with complications from having enough volume of patients is also a factor. you can have all the attributes you described but not be well versed on rare complications. one thing to have a poor aesthetic outcome another thing navigating a VO

I have a question for you. Obviously you have perfect skin. as you assess the patient skin is it always a filler you go to the patients on a specific regimen and/or specific facials. I see you’re in Austin I live in Houston.

Yes and no because you can’t grow and evolve without experience. And a lot of new nurse injectors haven’t seen enough to know. Also this kind of hard belief is another reason newer injectors are mediocre… feeling like you KNOW what’s wrong or right doesn’t really allow you to grow. It’s always evolving. Always changing. And saying “dumb.” That’s wild.

Are there any well trained injectors you would recommend in dfw? I would love to see you but can’t bring myself to drive to austin for injectables 😩

I couldn’t agree more. Watching some of the “master” injectors makes me feel like I could inject with my non dominant hand and “master” their technique 😳
