I went to pick up a part I ordered from Honda, they told me the nuts/bolts would cost an additional $125. My dad walked in the next day and was handed the hardware for free.

I stopped using them. I take mine to Land Rover Katy (Autonation), they’re 100 times better. Not sure what your other car is, but don’t ever go to Maserati of Austin. They quoted me $3000 more than what I paid in Houston, and I think they messed with my car. Helfman Maserati told me it’s very rare that both valve gaskets would leak at same time.

They are also predatory to the elderly and those they perceive as gay, figuring they don't know enough about cars. My father's Honda CRV needed the timing chain replaced. I told him he should probably do the VTC actuator at the same time since they have to pull the engine out to get to it and that's most of the cost. They quoted him $5100. So then I went in with him and they quoted me $4800. I called my partner who has worked in car sales his whole life. He said that was still about double the price. He called and they told him $2400. We didn't trust them after that. We went to an independent mechanic who did it for $1800 and threw in an oil change and car wash for free. I realize they don't use factory parts. And that was the cause of some of the cheaper price. But I'll never work with that dealership again.

I’m a truck girl and the same thing happens to me anytime I go looking for a new truck. They think i just want the lol, as a lot of women do. Not me, I’ve driven semis, I KNOW trucks. I’ve put a few men in their places in the past. The most recent was a man at a dealership telling me that the blue on my truck was painted on. I told him multiple times, no it’s a vinyl. When he basically tried to say, honey, I know what I’m talking about. I looked at him and said I do too because I put it on there myself, it’s vinyl! It can be so tiring.
