How are nails allowed in the NICU? There’s in an extremely strict no nail, no polish, no jewelry below the elbow policy. Neonates have compromised immune systems, it’s actually concerning to see nails.

guys they are her natural nails meaning as long as she cleans under them and around them very well (something we all are required to do anyways) she is fine. That’s like saying you need to cut of your hair because it could be dirty and give a baby an infection. Like no as long as you are doing WHAT YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO for the safety of your patients you can have you natural nails with cured polish/gel that won’t flake off

everyone is talking about the nails but idk why ur so worried the hospital OBVIOUSLY allows it and if the parents of the BABIES she is working with want to complain then THEY can and the hospital can fix it so don't be jumping to conclusions about everything
