@jessnuremberg: Replying to @memo I froze my eggs four times between ages 33 and 34 because I had low AMH. After four retrievals, I had 35 eggs and felt like I’d given myself a real chance. At 40, I thawed half of them. Not a single one made it through the entire process. It was devastating, and a reminder that egg freezing is an insurance policy, not a guarantee. Every journey is different, but this is exactly why I share my story. After that experience, I moved on to IVF, and that path ultimately led me to my daughter. If you’re considering egg freezing or IVF, I hope my experience helps you ask questions, understand the risks, and make the best decision for you. #EggFreezing #IVFJourney #SingleMomByChoice #FertilityJourney

Mine didn't fail, but 18 only yielded 1 euploid and 1 mosaic. I wish someone would have explained more about the ivf funnel when I was 35! I'm 41 now, going through my 3rd retrieval.

Can you please clarify what years you froze your eggs in? Practices have changed in this area in the last decade or so and it’s a little hard to figure out when you are talking about.

Egg freezing isn’t a guarantee, but neither is fertility at any age. And as much fear as they give us about biological clock, all of my friends had babies after 35 and so many friends got pregnant unassisted 40-45. Also, as a late in life mother, I found that there’s a lot more to experience in life other than parenthood and I have so much pride in being an “old mom” with so much to give my daughter at this stage of my life. I froze my eggs in my 30s and they didn’t work, but i don’t regret it because that wasn’t for my future child but for me in that time of my life.

I think it’s important to know not to feel discouraged by the amount of eggs retrieved. My last retrieval I had THREE eggs two were blastos and one of those passed genetic testing

Just happened to me too! I Froze eggs at 33 and went to make embryos in April and got zero. I did another retrieval at 40 in June that gave me 2 euploid. Now, I’m doing another retrieval (my third) hoping to squeeze out 1-2 more euploid before doing a transfer. 🤞🏼

I just turned 30, I’ve never been in a relationship, & I decided that my next cycle I’m going begin the egg freezing process. I did bring up cases like yours where lots of eggs freeze, but none end up working. I was informed that with the current practices if I get 15 eggs there’s around an 80% chance of a resulting live birth. I’ll take those odds, but stories like yours have really instilled in me that egg freezing is just creating another option, not creating a guarantee. ♥️

What advice would you give to someone egg freezing now? In terms of supplements, etc

I don’t know anyone with frozen eggs that worked. Only fresh or embryos

Thank you for answering my question. The fertility clinic told me with 30+ eggs there is like 90% chance of success but I think your story shows that it’s never guaranteed. Thank again for answering

Sorry I’m just not following. In previous videos you said only warmed half. How do you know all of them would have failed?

So would you still recommend freezing eggs as an option?

My gasses are flabbered. This just blows my mind, I just assumed they were good until thawed. I am so sorry

Respectfully - you’re gorgeous. Did you have any procedures done or any recommendations? Love how you don’t look unnatural

common experience. I froze 21 eggs through 2 rounds at 35 years old..came back to use it when I was 40, none of them made any embryos. it wasn't a thawing issue either. 12 back to back egg retrievals later, I'm finally pregs at 42 years old. no regrets.
