Hey so I was the co teacher they moved her too and respectfully I have to disagree with her allegations. At least the ones I was there for. They ended up moving her to my class and switching my co teacher to the main one she’s complaining about. Mine was a sweetie pie & idk why she would ever have problems with her. I sometimes was with her original co teacher during after school and there was NO inappropriate behavior happening. Sure she had nicknames like mama or she even made up her own. It was never weird and absolutely no grooming. But I’m sorry this is wrong, no church is perfect, because it houses imperfect people that God still choose to chase after us. I understand church hurt and trust as a very left, Latina, immigrant, etc woman I have my own reservations but to go this far and stand here watching it while I was around. I won’t let that happen. Respectfully, I think she’s just young and hasn’t seen the real working class jobs. AND I HAVE A BIG MOUTH too I would speak out and say something if it was wrong. If I had kids I personally would trust my kids to be at CBC and that says a lot bc I’m picky. I’ve worked at other churches that wouldn’t pay me to essentially work at their “Sunday program” or summer camp school. So I was thankful to sow some seed that summer. Anyways prayers to you sister girl I genuinely mean no malice I just think maybe your perception of what your mind is telling you might be off. If I’m being quite honest and I’m sorry if it’s harsh I say it with love but I hope you find healing and help. Prayers 💛

I’m sorry you went through that I honestly didn’t know y’all’s department was going through that! Who was in charge of yall? Was it Erin or Maria ? I LITERALLY LEFT BECAUSE OF WHAT YOU SAID. they ran out of money and force mandatory tithes because of a certain executive pastor who stole from the church this was also another reason for the financial stress on CBC.

As an AUTISM MOM, I don’t trust the special ed child care at CBC & it’s a reason I stopped attending. Uncertified teachers??? Nope. And I’ve seen multiple stories about how the teachers handle special needs kids. NOT TRAINED TO DO SO!!!!

I’ve been going there for 21 years, i have volunteered and did have to retake the membership Equip if you want to volunteer. I saw no problem with that and understood the reasoning behind it. I’m sorry that certain staff members gave you a bad experience; that can lead to church hurt. Sounds like you did have a great experience at one time and it was hard to leave. I pray you find a church where you can shine and find the happiness your deserve.

So the mandate to tithe isn’t a crazy thing. I work at a church and all staff members are required to tithe because 1. God asks for it in scripture, and 2. If we ask our members to tithe and expect them to we also need to. If not we’re hypocrites… and as a church staff we are to be leading our people well and setting the example for them. In all areas including tithing. Tithing is an act of obedience and trust in Gods provision. But definitely in no way am I trying to invalidate anything else said. Sorry for the experience you had at the church:(

It’s the fact that this mega church has more than enough money fix the building problems they had, they just didn’t want to. But ofc the “pastor” drives an expensive car, wears expensive clothes and shoes, etc etc. to each their own, but all these people who profit off this church or cover up their acts with the church make it not a church.

They have plenty of money to fix a building where there are children. If not, they need to balance that budget to take care of those children and teachers. My only interaction with this church was being hired to do a one time gig and they paid me about 4x the going rate at the time. I’ve heard plenty of times that money comes in bc supposedly god is blessing them, so why aren’t these babies being blessed for being literally perfect in gods image with clean and leak free classrooms and adequately trained staff? (Side note: I was raised in a multi billion dollar cult… things they choose to spend money on and things they just leave be always astounds me… )

You have every right to share feedback, but I’d love to know what you hope to get out this? Unfortunately, large organizations have things that aren’t going to be perfect. That’s just life. Humans are flawed and aren’t representative of the purpose of CBC. The purpose is to share about Jesus and pour into San Antonio. That’s exactly what they’re doing and I find your video could deter someone from finding their way to Jesus. While I support your freedom to speak out I don’t think this video is achieving what you think it is.

Most of these comments are minimizing these valid concerns. Parents put their trust in CBC to care for their children and keep them safe. If a “community” does not protect its most vulnerable, what are they protecting? The answer is money and their own greed.
