I’m a charge nurse and I do my best to make sure every other nurse and cna are helped and taken care of while doing the million other things I have to do. If someone feels like they’re struggling, I’m not doing my job.

Used to be one of 3 designated charge RNs (before I got my cush job 😅😏) and everyone was literally shocked when I would make multiple rounds per shift asking if I could do anything for them. We also had to carry the rapid pager and I can’t tell you how many times people thanked me for not being mean when it turned out the call wasn’t necessarily warranted. I’m like yall, idk about what any other charge does, but ya girl is here to help you and the patients 🤷🏻♀️

💗 I try to make sure everyone gets to eat lunch when I’m in charge. I’ll check everyone off. And I try to just bring good vibes and encouragement! Sometimes you can’t help what the day brings but you can set the tone by leading by example and not complaining even if it’s a rough day!
