My dad lives with us now. We have medical POA. We have all the user names and passwords for every portal. When he’s in the hospital or ER, we are there and waiting for a doc/nurse to come tell us the results we already know. It is the only way. If my dad didn’t have us, we have no doubt he’d be gone by now. No one cares about your elderly parent like you do.

Even docs have a bard time getting info but that is a great tip even for lay people to check the patient portal

I’m so sorry. Does the hospital she is at happen to have a patient portal that your mom and dad currently use? I was recently at the hospital with my daughter, I logged into her portal and I was able to see procedure results and lab results before they even came in and told me. I hope your mom has an uneventful and rapid recovery from what ever is going on.
