Honestly i don’t care about her body & I sat here thinking about why I don’t care because one the dress itself isn’t inappropriate it doesn’t have any cuts or inappropriate designs like back open low cut it’s a regular brown pencil dress and two there’s no reason to judge her body she can’t change it and shouldn’t be forced out of a dress that isn’t inappropriate simply because of her body shape and three i spoke with myself and I spoke with god and I said I wannabe the type of person that doesn’t judge women for wearing appropriate clothing just because they have a certain body type of the outfit itself is appropriate then it is appropriate for all body shapes and I don’t want the eyes of pdf/creep/jealous/negative person who sees a appropriate dress on a different body type and think that dress makes you look sexy take it off because that is weird

at the end of the day she's in church fully clothed. It doesn't matter what she came in, what matters is she went in the first place. It's too many women dressed "modestly" passing judgement for what? the fact that she went to a place that's not supposed to pass judgment on others and is being criticized about an outfit based on the shape of her god given body speaks worse on the people criticizing her. We don't know if that's the only dress that she has, what her story is or her background. So to comment on this is really kind of disrespectful. How does this help her other than cause her to feel shame and not want to come back?

Neither is appropriate for church. Put a slip on or a long cover or wrap a scarf for added style and coverage or just a different dress over all that isn’t clingy or an Aline cut dress or skirt will do.

I fear this line of thinking is internalized misogyny. If we acknowledge that the dress isn't the problem, then what we are saying is that this person's body is inappropriate. If a man wore a pair of tight fitting pants to church that showed off all the curves of his physique, no one would post it online calling it inappropriate. Women's bodies are not inherently sexual just because the minds' of men are inappropriate.

I feel like it’s only inappropriate because it’s something that fits the man’s desire why should women have to watch what she wears because a man might like it. If men desired the petite woman and were more drawn to the petite look in a dress like that would it then be appropriate for a thicker woman to wear it then? The desired look of a woman changes over and over as time goes on and I’m tired of women having to change or hid their natural body so that a man would feel comfortable at the end of the day the first two beings started off natural and naked and only cared or felt ashamed of the natural body when they ate the apple

Thank you for just making sense. Fully covered doesn’t mean automatically appropriate. Always been thick but you not gone see my body through my clothes. My grandma came to church with 2 slips just in case. 😂😂

I actually agree with this take. Not for modesty but for comfort. I’m a pretty small individual and thought that meant I wear s/xs for everything, but my girls are like double d’s. Once I tapped into M/L I realized I can wear so many styles I never liked before. Ngl if you can style the baggy look right it’s soooo fire. I still have my nights where I show some skin like bars/clubs/partys, but on a regular, I look cool and feel COMFORTABLE because I don’t have randoms in Walmart staring at my boobs. Amen

She looks great. She appears to be covered. Her dress is fitted but not obscene. I'm curvy and I can't wear certain things because my body would make it obscene. I get it. There is some expectation of modesty at church. There is also an expectation of grace and no judgement. She came for The Word. I'm going to pray for the person taking the picture.

I grew up in a slightly conservative family and I know what you mean. I’m petite and I still have a shape so I wear cardigans to church and INTERVIEWS, my butt is hard to miss. 🤣 I don’t want that to be where someone’s eyes got first, male or female.
