the whole point of Linux is for being less bloated giving you stabler 1% and 0.1% lows, ofc there's going to be losses when you have a whole translator in the middle of your game and your OS, still these results are neglectable with most being less than 10 fps differences

That amount on Windows is first of all is within margin of error really. It could be x amount of stuff making a 2 fps increase but the increase with Cyberpunk2077 1080p ultra that is a massive average fps gain and it is by SteamOS. Next elephant in the room, these numbers mean very little when the 1% lows are out of the picture and i have a feeling SteamOS would actually kick Microslops ass there again.

of course it makes it faster. proton makes it basically emulate games. (Yes I KNOW it's not an emulator, but it BASICALLY is. explain the difference) honestly had the same experience on the deck
