My guess is the artist wasn't judging your tattoos per say, but judging the artist who agreed to tattoo a young, not heavily tattooed person.

As a face tattoo haver. It’s the lack of ink on you anywhere else and the fact that you’re likely not settled into a career with longevity which means your face tattoos are legitimate job stoppers. I didn’t touch my face until I became heavily tattooed. And I spoke with the director of my EMS station prior to getting my face done to ensure I would have my career post face tats. You can’t remove those.

it's the two prominent face tattoos and throat tattoos with basically nothing on the shoulders and chest. Usually face and hands are last since they're job stoppers and a lot of artists refuse to do them for that reason. If you had full sleeves and a chest piece, likely wouldn't have even mentioned it.

It’s because you look barely tattooed with face tattoos. Most old school tattooers will judge you for that.

Maybe he meant, 25 is pretty young to be getting ANY face tattoos because you don’t know where life will take you, and you may want to do something in life where face tattoos would be a problem. I don’t know, he said it, not me.
