At Costco all the raspberries were gone. The fellow working in the produce section told me they were getting more in but to be there when they open because the pallets will be gone in 1/2 an hour as the people come in and buy to resell at the farmer’s market

excuse me sir. I'll have you know that I'm currently growing a pineapple at my home (Canada). Took 7 years, but it can't be more local than this !

Yeah, everything I sell, I’ve grown. But we have a couple people that buy at produce auctions and resell at our farmers market, which is legal, but I do believe people prefer knowing I grew everything.

If you can’t sell your produce at a big box store then I shouldn’t be paying a crazy up charge at a farmers market. Farmers markets were meant to be cheaper than general grocery stores. Why am I paying $7+ for blue berries I can get at Walmart for less? I want to support the STHM who gardens and sells stuff on the side to help provide for her family.

My local farmers’ market has a stand with a sign that reads, “If we don’t grow it, we don’t sell it.” 🥰
