Two products can both say "Dimethicone" and behave completely differently depending on whether it's a light or heavy grade. Now go look at the other products you use and compare. You’ll aee these silicones are everywhere. Also these are $9 products- you’re not foing to find ground breaking ingredients in them.

Elf is also always been known to be dupes of more expensive product that’s y they’re so popular. Same quality lower price, why would they not do the same with their hair care? Elf is one of the few makeup brands I actually trust it’s marketed for lower class at the same quality as a luxury product.

My biggest pet peeve with the elf products are that people are calling them a dupe. Especially the oil they’re comparing it to olaplex #7. Sorry folks olaplex is patented, you won’t see any dupes. We may in the future see bond builders (like actual bond builders, not the stuff the hair industry has been gaslighting us on for the last 7-10 years) added to products like lighteners now that Hankle [sp] bought olaplex and now owns the patent. So all the European lines they own could start using the patented ingredients. But no elf you’re not a dupe for olaplex

Look I’m an old lady and I’m cheap I was out of mascara and went online to order from Walmart and was SHOCKED at how expensive they all were. Then I saw a $3 Elf mascara AND it has been the best mascara ever! I’m definitely up for the hair care review. I love their cosmetics and have found most are a cheap “dupe” for the expensive stuff. I also work from home now and truly refuse to spend a fortune on my hair (doesn’t even get brushed daily 👀) or makeup to go to the grocery store in 😂
