Ok I tried Asada tacos at El Gordo, I see what you mean by the smoke flavor now, but the meat for me was too grissly with fat pieces. Taco Time Cantina in la jolla are my fave, they make their own tortillas, its family owned & super nice!!! Tons of guac and no grissle! Marinated to perfection. With char pieces. Then for crispy chicken tacos is hands down PAPAS and Tacos. Bankers Hill! Family owned and super nice
