johnny tells you straight away not to get involved because nusa will keep a hold on you, and so mi is a direct example of what becomes of that. songbird was a dead man walking, with or without the blackwall. she was nothing more than a weapon to those around her, and so powerful that they were only going to cut her loose is if she was killed. yes she lies to you but she literally had no other options if she wanted an actual chance at survival, and while i would have helped either way, it wouldnt be worth the risk for her to be completely honest with any v. songbird is literally dying in your arms when she tells you that she lied, and she's telling you because you are the only thing now standing between her life and death, and she wants you to know the truth before it's not too late to tell you herself. i didnt help songbird because she promised me a cure, i saw the signs well early enough to know it would end the way it did. i helped her because it was made apparent that i was her last hope at making it out alive, that all she wanted was to be free while everyone else wanted her either dead or as a weapon. songbird wanted you to save a life, myers wanted you to take a life, and it will never go further than that, i will fight for songbird a thousand times over, and i genuinely find it insane that there's anyone else who wouldn't do the same
