Even after being detached from the user’s arm, the prosthetic hand can still be wirelessly controlled, allowing it to continue moving independently. The hand works by detecting electrical signals generated by the wearer’s muscles and nerves. AI interprets those signals in real time and wirelessly sends movement commands to the prosthetic, enabling individual finger movements with high precision. BrainCo says the hand also features 21 degrees of freedom, full-palm tactile sensing and a lifelike silicone exterior.
