As a mom, I did not want my daughter unsupervised with males in a work environment. I know from personal experience that is how a lot of adult males gain access to teen girls. Absolutely not.

also add to the docket a 67 year old man or woman who can't live off their social security and had to go back into the workforce so they can still pay their bills and live or a 43 year old woman who has been a SAHM her entire life who divorced her husband now that her kids are grown who has aging sick parents she is caring for and she has to start over with no experience in the workforce ever. those are now added to the list as well.

Teens shouldn't "need" a job. They should only get a job for pocket money and work experience. If a teen needs a job, then something is wrong bc they shouldn't have to worry about bills.

My Dad wouldn't let me have a job. He said I'd be working the rest of my life once I was an adult and to enjoy being a kid. I babysat and detassled in the summer, but other than that I enjoyed my childhood.

Well for one thing he's lying those kids that are working at 14 are doing 1 of 2 things- working under the table( which everyone gets mad at that) or somehow getting some sort of special permissions?? Maybe?? And I'm not sure who would even give those permissions.-- that's not how any of this works. Sincerely someone who worked at 14

the job market isn't what it was. i was able to get jobs left and right as a teen. 15 years later, and people who are incredible can't even find work... there's just no room

My 19 year old sent in over 30 applications to end up getting a temp job remodeling Walmart just to not get hired in because they didn’t need anyone inside so now she’s out looking for a a job again. She feels terrible but I told her they’re hiring people my age because many need second jobs to survive.

As a McDonald’s manager, the problem our stores in my area are having is labor cost. My store specifically is the highest sales in the area and are continuing to grow sales every single month. We are breaking sales records every single month. But we are being told by our owners that labor costs are too high. So we are barely surviving on these paychecks, breaking sales records, and literally working every shift with the bare minimum of employees. We are getting 100s of apps and are not allowed to hire. Everyone else’s hours get cut. Doesn’t matter if it’s teens or adults. We don’t have enough jobs for anyone.
