I’m surprised you didn’t choose to sew the first bridesmaids dress to make it more modest. You’re clearly really talented. I mean honestly I’ve used a safety pin to great effect for wrap dresses.

to be fair the original dress was also not “super” bridesmaid ish and that’s how my wedding was too bc i wanted my girls to be able to rewear what they bought not every wedding is black tie or super formal it doesn’t have to be necessarily scream bridesmaid to work!
