@mad86806: Update: safe with a rescue! 7/21 Euthanasia List: Jicama #A2086892, 10Y, Male, HW+, Rescue Only Nothing I love more than seeing a matted dog get shaved down. I feel better just looking at this guy! He seems to be completely blind and can’t hear very well. He came in as a stray and it’s hard to believe he has been on the streets for long. At first I thought he was completely paralyzed which correlates with what the finder described. 7/19/26: rads show: 1) left ischium fx, 2) left pubis fx, 3) possible luxation/subluxation right sarcoiliac joint, may be ok with cage rest for 6-8 weeks, needs radiologist review and orthopedic consult Citizen found on his street yesterday. Kept overnight and noted pet is "crawling," eating and drinking normally. Noted he seemed painful when he picked him up Bumping into walls when walking, finder believes him to be blind. Dog is QAR. Bilateral cataracts, moderate tartar on teeth. Walking with limp on hind left(?) leg. Extremely matted, large amount of fecal matter matted to hind end causing mild fecal scalding. LARGE amount of fleas. S/O: OU lenticular opacities, fleas/matted, limping LR, LR crepitus palpated in hip, low HW+ I: ddx OU cataracts, ddx diabetes, fleas/matted, ddx LR femoral head & neck fracture/Legg-Perthes Disease, low HW+ P: needs bloodwork to r/o diabetes, rx rimidyl 75mg 1/4 sid x 14, rx gabapentin suspension 250mg/5ml 1ml bid x 14, rx tramadol 50mg 1/2 bid x 14, needs rads BARC Animal Shelter 3300 Carr St I cannot always monitor comments and messages.
