The pt. engaged in a tabletop activity using tweezers to pick up small items and transfer them into a zip-lock bag. During the task, the patient demonstrated a dynamic tripod grasp, which facilitated RUE strength, graded control of movement, and modulation of force. The activity also promoted eye-hand coordination and motor planning. This intervention addressed the patient’s difficulties with hand strength and coordination while encouraging functional fine motor skills.

Patient performed fine motor task utilizing pincer grasp to address coordination, dexterity and strength required for self-feeding. pt was provided cuing for sequencing and pacing. Pt demonstrated proper upright position and required rest breaks to facilitate task efficiency.
