So here’s the thing about that… maintenance becomes a huge chunk $ every time something needs to get fixed… and MORE frequently on severely older car. My car has broken down at least 3 times in the last year.

Do trust it for long distances? I get it not having a payment or new car, but at what point it you decide ok this aint safe time for something else. saving and maybe getting a car cash would be the same has spending all u have fixing this one.

You could also buy a car for 5k on fb market. At least you would be safer than a car that the window don’t work properly, might leave you hanging at any moment.

See I wanted to do this bc my current car is a 2010 Honda. She’s a trooper for sure but a major headache. Unfortunately, I was the third owner and the last 2 did not maintenance the car as they should’ve been (I didn’t know that then) and I’ve been stuck repairing it for years. I have so much car trauma that I refuse to go for an older car. The best I would do for myself is 2016+ 😩
