Honestly a lot of the rumored people for the x-men cast so far seem like such miscasts. Even Sadie I’m still unsure of, I feel like casting directors especially for big budget productions has gotten lazy in recent years. Because they want to maximize potential box office earnings instead of looking for who embodies the characters the most.

I'm convinced that Disney uses the promise of backing an actors indie projects of choice to entice the Bill Skarsgards and Adam Drivers to these sorts of projects. You can see how Chris Evans and Mark Ruffalo might've leveraged Disney into backing a few passion projects. The problem is that the schedules Disney locks actors into are years long and constantly shifting, which makes shooting anything other than a Disney blockbuster really difficult.
