If I were a CNA, I would hate to be referred to as my CNA. I also don’t care to be referred to as my LVN or my RN. It’s teamwork, not ownership.

actually.... I could care less about the paycheck... like obviously i'm getting paid so my kids can eat... but if i was there for the money.. I would have become the accountant i thought i wanted to be.. but instead i find joy and fulfillment by taking care of others and literally could not be anywhere else. I'd be there if i was getting paid or not 🤷🏼♀️

I’m an LPN in a nursing home and I do show up for my residents. Yes it’s true I need my paycheck but I also love my residents and enjoy taking care of them. I don’t think people should have the attitude that they are only there for a paycheck. If you’re not there because you love your residents, then maybe you need another job. The first thing on my mind is taking the best care of my residents that I can, not how big my paycheck is going to be.

And what she is saying is there are ppl in healthcare who like the 3 days a week but hate doing what they’re supposed they don’t actually have a passion for the job it’s just the 3 days they like. Where as others truly enjoy what they do love helping people etc that’s what she’s saying

What she meant by that is a lot of people go into nursing bc they think it’ll pay well, they don’t actually care about patients or have a passion for the medical field. She didn’t mean here for the paycheck as in you should work for free she meant if you’re only there bc you think it’s easy money want cute scrubs and don’t care about the job or have empathy and compassion needed for nursing.

As a BASIC EMT I am there for the money!! Mind yall i make almost $35/hr and over $50/hr when i make OT. I love my job, but a big motivator is when istart getting into the OT hours lol

I think that can be taken a different way. I’m a caregiver, if I’m in it for the money, it’s definitely not the right job. Meaning, most in healthcare have a heart for it. But clearly no one’s doing it for free.
