He came in as a stray and has been dealing with ongoing medical issues including skin irritation, gastrointestinal upset, and a recent upper respiratory infection. Despite everything his body has been fighting through, his spirit has stayed remarkably open. Julian is the kind of dog who still looks up when people pass by. Even in the stress of the shelter environment, he remains social, responsive, and eager for interaction. The kind of dog who doesn’t shut down, even when things around him are loud, confusing, and temporary. But like so many, he is not in a place where he is easily seen. He is tucked away, and that lack of visibility can make all the difference for a dog who just needs someone to notice him. He is still trying. Still hoping. Still showing up for every moment someone walks past his kennel. Today, June 23 at 2 PM, Julian is scheduled for euthanasia. A young dog with a soft temperament and so much potential, running out of time simply because he hasn’t yet been chosen.
