The people that record like this are only doing it to instigate. They are doing a 1st amendment “audit”. They just want conflict. Funny how the spray is always at the ready already before the situation even happens. I get it , we don’t have privacy in a public place , but I personally would not like my image being posted anywhere , so if they can’t be respectful and at least blur my face out then they are literally doing it to cause issues and have no respect what so ever.

Prime example why these guys are getting charges. No reason to use pepper spray. Jail time clowns Richard Troyan, the Canadian YouTuber behind True North Transparency, he is reportedly facing two felony charges in California stemming from an incident outside an Ace Hardware store in Menlo Park in March 2026. Prosecutors allege he pepper-sprayed a man during a confrontation and that the use of pepper spray was not justified as self-defense. The reported felony charges are: * Assault with a tear gas weapon (pepper spray). * Unlawful use of tear gas under California law. The incident occurred while Troyan was with other self-described “First Amendment auditors.” A separate participant, Richard Maza, was charged in a different incident in Mountain View and later pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor battery after a felony tear gas charge was dropped as part of a plea agreement
