Not the same but in the early 1900s my family were lumberjacks. My great grandmother was the camp cook and the only person who made more than her was the Forman

most modern feminists like to pretend that women working or having access to credit is new.
tradwives actually seem to be more aware of history than feminists are

questions, were most of these soldiers conscriptied? then told to pay back for all the equipment plus whatever else they needed?

I have a weird question... how do people being dumb have affected history? what I mean is that I've recently seen some dangerous political movements and people cheer them on and it's just being dumb. So for example if you could see Hitler rise to power, how much of it was just circumstances and how much was people not thinking and being dumb

Yeah home making was literally a job, and yeah I know that's not what he's saying but what you think I'm saying isn't exactly what I'm saying either. A lot of chores we have done by machines now were just... someone's job. It was still considered "woman's work" even though it was hard physically labor and depending on the time period we just had various different tools to help or not help with that work. Just in the 87 years my great grandma was alive (she did die back in like 2010ish so it's been a hot minute but you know) she went from having to wash clothes in the creek with a washboard to having a bin and basin in her home to having an electric washing machine.

My female ancestors in the 1800s US ran a boarding house. No doubt the earlier ones worked as well but it's just not recorded
