@sabfortony: dating as a widow has brought out so many feelings of guilt, unfaithfulness, insecurities, shame, bitterness, the list goes on. but one thing i’ve found helpful is to speak these thoughts out, and i’ve been met with so much grace and kindness, which has helped me to be more gracious to myself. this was a really hard conversation but also something i wanted to do even for my sake. tony knows, and i believe he understands and is ultimately rooting for me to find whatever i’m looking and hoping for in this lifetime because that’s what it means for him to continue loving me while he’s not physically here. dating again as someone who lost a partner isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. it’s something that i’m trying so i can see if this is what i want. sending love to anyone who may be going through a similar journey, and if this helps anyone face the complex thoughts around dating after loss, then that’s wonderful. you are not alone, we are all trying to navigate a life that is far from ideal and what we once hoped for. so be kind to yourself. 💗 love is such a gift in this lifetime, and i am so lucky to have experienced great love with tony. all i know is that i have so much love to give, and i will forever love tony. if i get to experience another great love, that’s wonderful. and if i don’t, then i think that’s okay too. #grief #datingasawidow #dating #griefandloss #widow
