After 240hz the difference gets smaller and smaller making the price to performance pretty bad compared to 60hz to 144 and 144 to 240hz those are big jumps

If you say, “you can’t tell a difference past 240hz” you don’t know what to even look for or you’re not playing the right games. Also higher hz lowers input lag.

the obvious answer is that most pcs cant even run a modern game over 240 fps. I have a beast build and unless the game is a few years old, im under 200fps with max settings in most games

its kinda like the whole deal with higher pulling rate its faster and more powerful but the rest of technolgy isnt there 1000hz is still the most conistant becuase its the standard by design. 120hz and 144hz beats 240 in a lot of games still due to compatibility it just is what it is.

its the fact that even with 9070 or 5080 fps past 240 is really hard to hit outside of Esports titles and even then your spending a shit ton for a vary small difference

240 is popular because triple A games cannot optimize anything higher for the life of them. especially when Ai now tried to overclock your already overclocked CPU's not one game besides FPS's matter about the frames. now I have a 365Hz , I like playing doom, I like turning it down super low and then turning it on max to I can do some really wacky stuff in the game 😂. 240 is popular for FPS anything higher is fan service for people who want those 4-8k game plays.

anything after 240hz you'll barley feel a difference i have a 480hz and it feels just slightly faster than 240hz so not really worth it plus most pcs aren't going to even reach above 240hz consistently
