Do you think a colony/ hutch hybrid would work? Your vids makes me wanna try raising some later in the future. I was thinking of hutches for the breeders and the colony would be for the weaned kits. I know about the problems with infections but is this worth even trying? I don’t wanna build an enclosure just to only utilize the hutches. If I had enough room for the does, could I have the buck in the colony, run around and breed, and then put him in a hutch after? Basically have all of them in the colony 24/7 but the buck would spend a few weeks in the colony and then be put back into his hutch just so I don’t get any surprise litters. I won’t start with a colony of course but would this be a decent setup?
