@shauna_b_: I let my daughter, who's headed into 11th grade, pick out 11 things at Target...but we had a few ground rules. 😅 ✨ We had a budget. ✨ Every item had to be useful and help her get ready for school. ✨ No single item could cost more than $20.26. ✨ And, of course...Mom had final veto power. 😂 It was a fun challenge, but as we walked through the store, I found myself reflecting on just how far she's come In January, we found an alternative school that has been an absolute blessing. Because of her chronic illness, she misses school more than most kids. This school allows her to work at her own pace, stay on grade level, and most importantly...gives her the flexibility to take care of herself when she needs to. One thing you might notice is that she isn't shopping for traditional school supplies. That's because her school provides everything students need, so she isn't allowed to bring supplies from home. It's a reminder that every family's journey looks different. You never know what someone is carrying or what blessing might be hiding behind a path that looks different than your own. So before we judge someone else's story...let's choose curiosity and kindness instead. ❤️ Now...did she stay within budget?
