An interesting point on John the Baptist being "a voice crying out in the wilderness" in accordance with Mark 1:3, I suspect it might be another Markan subversion. It isn't John the Baptist that is the voice crying out in the wilderness, but Jesus is. In Mark 1:3, wilderness, in interlinear bibles is erēmō. Mark 1:12, Jesus is driven into the wilderness (erēmon). Mark 1:35, Jesus prays in a solitary place (erēmon). Mark 1:45, Jesus has to stay out in the country (erēmois). And that's just Mark 1, how many other times does Jesus go out into the wilderness, deserted places, or open country to pray or preach?

The bible was meant to be spiritual but just bungled it.Spiritually you can raise the spirit of someone who died but not bodily raising.The Jesus character looks like he was some kind of a healer and witchcraft practitioner.
