An ego that formed when you were powerless, had no control over life and depended on your parents and others entirely for survival.

It’s so funny that you use a color analogy…my husband insists a certain blanket we have is green. It is not remotely green, it’s blue. The other 5 people in the house calls it the big blue blanket, except him. He asks for the green blanket and no one knows what he’s talking about. And that’s just one tiny example of the result of his presence in the home.
