I pretty heavily disagree with this at the current moment. Most of these addons encourage MORE use of a killer’s power. Like, for example, Vecna. Bamboozle doesn’t work with his flight and it isn’t counted as a vault, it’s counted as a door. Perk diversity in this game isn’t killed by addons that do these things, it’s killed by many of them not being good and gens being able to fly by so fast you NEED regression a fair amount of the time. And most people hate ghoul with a passion, regardless of how you play or build him, it doesn’t seem like a fair comparison there for this topic to me. It’s also one thing that I feel the need to point out, that if a lot of addons on a lot of killers were just better in general then you would see more diversity in those addons. For example on this, Ghoul actually, his other iridescent is almost useless most of the time. It’s too specific and situational to ever see any real use. If it was something different and could have a tangible effect then it would get used more. This is just my opinion being offered, it’s discussions like these that could help the overall health of the game if behavior would actually sit down and listen.

As a killer main I agree Jason’s sauna rock add on literally removes the need to use a perk like windbreaker

honestlyyyyy i play spirit sometimes and all of her add-ons are power based. imagine if she had add ons that inflicted hemorrage and mangled every time she came out of a phase? or blocked nearby pallets every time she started using her phase. as boring as her add ons are, they're fair and still require skill to use them. jason's new add ons are so ridiculous literally every jason i see is always running the gen regression and exhausted add on.

This is like that one Jason addon that makes gens regress when you get close while in omnipresent evil. It has an effect similar to surge or turn back the clock given for just using your power.

Nahhhhhh add ons SHOULD replace certain perks. Like the generic sloppy butcher effects for m2 killers. Also survivors can bring med kits which is like having free self care (but twice as fast).

On the other hand, something I actually quite like is when a killer gets a ddons that give a lite version of specifically their own perks. e.g. the nurse addon that gives a mini Nurses Calling
