Coming from someone who works at this location, the alarm wasn't actually pulled but it turned on due to the 70mm projector overheating and smoking. These things aren't really meant to be playing film as much as they are right now and with most theaters doing 2am and 8am showtimes they are basically running 24/7. After the whole fiasco they put it back on in Digital IMAX but yeah it was a mess and they severely understaffed that day which didn't help with handling refunds and all of that.

When I was at Citywalk for Mission Impossible, someone vaped in the bathroom and set off the fire alarm. They never restarted the movie, I drove 2 hours to see it too

My old job haunts me everyday. But it was the 70mm itself that caught smoke from what I could tell in the groupme work chat. No one wants to do that many refunds willingly.

So, as someone who uses these, they’re sat in the Wheelchair & Carer Seats, got it. They had to have acknowledged that if a carer or a disabled attendee needed these seats, they were to get out of them immediately.
