This hit very close to home. I am 40 years old and have struggled with this my entire life. I have avoided many things and people because I wasn't 100% that I could show up as I'm expected to...I have burnt myself out of work because it was so important to me to do things the right way from beginning to end and when I mess up or take too long with something because I'm trying to ensure there was not one detail that I missed, I spiral into fault, guilt, frustration, imposter syndrome and self deprecation.

Creating ones own job is truly awesome. I've done it and it was the best job I've ever had. However the parasitical system is soul crushing. 😳 Always there are much larger corporations writing your rules backed by state violence whenever you can't understand their complicated rules or afford to comply with their unfair advantage.

I realized recently I am the only one following rules and having integrity. I remember in a group of sales ppl I was the only female and they used to make fun of me promoting “accountability” and Integrity! Go figure

Looking back 15 yrs & I can see it so clearly now 😂 18 yr old me, as a new maid I refused to cheat the clock while cleaning rooms, all of my other coworkers would clock in and out to have faster times and I thought it was lying so I refuse then got in trouble for being too slow.
