@goodmorningbritain: Prime Minister Andy Burnham has announced a fresh tax cut to remove VAT from domestic electricity bills from October 1. Chancellor John Healey, who was appointed on Monday, said the move would be funded by cancelling the Digital ID programme announced by outgoing prime minister Sir Keir Starmer. “For too long, too many people have struggled with the cost of living,” Healey said. #politics

People are complaining?! This makes a total of £200 a year off, which for some makes a huge difference. If you’re unhappy, give the money back and we can help people who are more in need.
