Crazy idea: move to Nebraska. It’s basically just like Oklahoma up here except less tornadoes, more snow.

personally I would prefer living in a somewhat rural area near a small city. So that way I don’t have to travel a long way to get to civilization when the need for civilization arises. But also I’m not having to worry about stuff like light pollution and noise pollution. Basically you have the convenience of a city nearby without sacrificing too much time to get there without needing to worry about privacy.

As someone who thought this same thing, if it’s your first house. Don’t overthink it. It doesn’t have to be the “perfect” house. It just needs to be a good house! Location matters most, it should serve you and your hobbies.

I was planning on getting a home out in the Appalachian mountains. It’s all real cheap, plus you get good privacy. Also, nature walks are baller
