I operate multiple homeless shelter downtown and it is so so sad what the city is doing to the most vulnerable population! Eliminating shelter beds and erasing programs that are so important. We are headed in a VERY scary direction.

im a resident . I know that theres so many resources available here in San diego. unfortunately a lot of these people are comfortable and or have mental illness and for the ones using medical will cover rehab wich will help with housing after

Well I looked unhealthy in this!. Glad she cut me off. I weighed 165 # when I came here from Tijuana. I weigh 235 now and I started SUD treatment today🙏

meanwhile when I was doing homeless outreach and they had a spot not in the middle of a damn freeway, away from the general pop (as much as possible) and what did the city do? Come and throw all their belongings away, and forced them out within 72 hrs.

I have a neighbor who was homeless. Guy turned his apt into a dump. And the smell is horrendous. If they get off the street they need to leave the homeless lifestyle on the street too and not bring junk and trash home.

Let me tell you something I lived on 14th and J as a teen I’ve experienced and witnessed these people getting offered help and most turned it down. Why? Cause there so far in addiction they prefer to live this life. There’s so many programs out there for them but they don’t want it. Excuses
