Vital Signs (PART IIl)
(4) Blood Pressure-
→ Force of blood pushing against the wall of Arteries.
Normal BP(Adult): 120/80 mm of Hg
Measured By: Sphygmomanometer.
Sites: * Brachial Artery (elbow → cubital fossa)
- Radial Artery
- Posterior tibial / Dorsalis Pedis.
Abnormal BP → Hypertension
→ Hypotension.
(5) Oxygen Saturation (SpO₂)
→ % of oxygen carried by Hb in blood
Normal: 95 – 100%
Measured By: Pulse oximeter.
Assess: Oxygenation status.
Abnormal: low SpO₂ Indicates → Hypoxia.
→ Respiratory or cardiac problem.
(6) Pain: (0 – 10)
→ Measure a patient pain Intensity.
