Iv got the same age gap and we’ve just started with magnatiles the ones from Asda as I so want all the open needed toys but I can’t justify the price, but so far just the magnatiles, some farm animals and afew small cars are working quite nicely

Don’t get fooled by TikTok you don’t actually need to buy much! Favorites here are connetix tiles, duplos, schleich animals, grapat loose pieces, Lovevery cubes and their kitchen, but I got most of it on vinted and the rest was birthday/Christmas presents, we’ve been building the collection for 3 years 😊 If you have a toddler I would start by duplos, they’re not too expensive and very versatile!
