If anyone is interested: An Army veteran saw the officer approaching and noticed him being stabbed, so he ran to his car and retrieved his gun and shot the attacker as you can see in the video. Officer Hernandez had no chance to fight back as he was severily stabbed in the neck and from the POV of his bodycam he massively bleeding from the neck and mouth. He couldn’t be rescued and died later in the hospital. The attacker was fatally shot by the veteran and died on-scene. The veteran was not charged for cause he acted in self-defense due to imminent danger for himself snd others according to the DA.
