@tytradingcoach: I'm 41, going on 11 years of trading. 10 habits I wish I'd started at 31. 1. I stopped waiting for the perfect setup. It doesn't exist. You either read what's in front of you or you sit on the sidelines making excuses. 2. I control my mornings. Analysis done before the world needs anything from me. Bias written, levels marked, laptop closed. If the first hour is reactive, the whole day follows it. 3. I don't chase every move. The market throws opportunities at you all day. Most aren't yours. Learning what to ignore made me more money than any setup ever did. 4. I don't confuse activity with progress. Plenty of traders are at the screen ten hours a day and still losing. Time at the chart isn't the work. The right decision is. 5. I deal with mistakes early. A small bad habit you ignore becomes the blown account six months later. I catch it and fix it before it compounds. 6. I trade to stay consistent, not to get rich this week. Fewer trades, higher quality, sized the same. Not to win big. To still be here in ten years. 7. I keep my risk in check. Everything works better when it's controlled. Your psychology, your sleep, your ability to take the next trade clean. 8. I pay attention to how I trade, not just what I made. A green week with sloppy execution is a problem. A red week where I followed the plan is a good week. 9. I built a second income so trading never had to pay the bills. The pressure to make money is what ruins the decisions. Take the pressure off and the trading gets better on its own. 10. How you trade at 41 is built at 31.
