Personally when my friends get into new relationships I know I won’t hear from them as much for the first few weeks, and I don’t take that to heart because new relationships are so exciting and fresh and they’ve always made their way back into talking/hanging regularly once the relationship settles into the next stage

While it's great to be happy and in a relationship, I don't understand the it's fine to ignore friends. What happens when the relationship ends? or you argue? Are you going to go to those friends you ignored when things were good and use them when they aren't? What if they needed support during your happy period are you supporting them?
