This sounds so good, I think it would be really difficult in practice. I feel like no matter how aware we are, attachment will tangle us whether we like it or not. Part of being human. To love deeply, is to grieve deeply.

life is impermanent, but love doesn’t have to be. there are people who have lost the love of their lives and are still deeply in love with them as if they were physically on this Earth.

You can love someone without depending on them to make you feel a certain way, in my opinion if you depend on your partner let’s say to make you happy. yes they’re gonna make you happy they’re gonna make you feel the happiest u ever have but if this is your only source of happiness this becomes leaching rather than loving.

It’s impossible not to get attached to someone when they are telling you that they want to be with you for the rest of their lives constantly, that they can’t live without you and promising you all the things you ever wished for. Also, it doesn’t help that they were everything you ever wanted.

i would also add, The goal isn’t to love someone less so it hurts less. The goal is to build a life that’s so rooted in yourself that loving someone becomes something beautiful you share, not the only place you stand.

This sounds like it was written by a person who isnt currently in love because love is forever and LOVE is what gives you future what give you meaning for the future ahead of you if not love i would be grieving past and i would wake up everyday thinking of waking up tomorrow for the person i love

So what's the point of loving someone if you can't share your life with them? If I like someone, I don't want to divide my love into pieces among a thousand other people throughout my life. What's the point of counting your feelings until the moment that person is gone?

I feel like as you get older you start to appreciate every little moment you have. People come and go but what makes those situations greater is that those memories never fade and are always ones to cherish. Life is inevitable so appreciating everything and expecting nothing is what will keep you sane. You live and you learn.
