I had a surgeon tell me that my Hypermobile EDS has probably stopped me breaking many MANY bones. Because the joints dislocated and seperate it reduces the pressure on the bones as the joints take most of the brunt of the injury.

Well, that's a little bit nicer of a theory than i've heard. the one that i've heard is that people who have never broken a bone have gone through a life that is more traumatic than it ever should have been especially children.That have traumatic childhoods, domestic violence, relationships, et.Cetera. we may not go through the physical pain of broken bones, but we sure do feel the emotional pain of emotional abuse, verbal abuse, and the gaslighting, that is so common with sociopathic narcissists
