Today I’m drawing a stylized beetle inspired by the shape of a stag beetle. I start by sketching the beetle itself, but I leave the shell empty on purpose. Instead of filling it right away, I create three completely different ideas for its back. The first design is a face inspired by Māori and Aztec art. The second is a skull.
