Had my left knee replaced fourteen years ago and I was awake while they did the surgery and it lasted two and half hours as I’m 6’7” tall but my left leg is shorter by three inches due to my tibia and fibula have fused together themselves. But having had several other operations including both CMC joints in both thumbs and ankle surgery as well as plate fitted to my big toe.
